This month marks my 10-year anniversary as being a licensed Chiropractor. I graduated from Life in March 2000, then I took a few weeks to relax, travel, hang out, and wait for my chiropractic license to come in the mail. Back then when I looked at people who had been practicing for 10 years and was amazed at how much they knew. I couldn't wait until I got to that point.

In May of that same year, I started to work for a chiropractor in Roswell -- Dr. Jim Hovey -- a great man who has served as a mentor to me in many ways. About 18 months later I started my own office here in Kennesaw.  Looking back at that time, now with those 10 years of experience under me, I still feel like there is so much more to know about the human body, chiropractic, nutrtion, children, feet, etc.  Yes I know more than I did 10 years ago, but I never want to stop learning.

That is why this past weekend I went to another seminar on the foot, gait, and orthotics. It was the third seminar in a 7-series certification program, something I want to attain just so I can learn more and help people in more ways!!  The instructor really emphasized how important the feet are in taking care of someone, since if their feet are "out", then it can throw off their entire spine and not let someone hold their adjustment as long.

I often work on people's feet, but not always. For those people who have chronic subluxations, this probably will be something that I start to emphasize more.  We learned more about how to custom make orthotics, adding even more to the computerized program we already use in our office.

So, for those of you with foot issues.....bunions, spurs, repetitive strains, toe issues, please remind me about it so we can begin to take a look at it and make the necessary changes to help you even more.  For those with chronic low back pain, hip pain, or even headaches, ask me if foot adjustments or orthotics can help you.

Until then...keep taking care of your spine and your feet!

NUTRITION

After many years of studying nutrition, we feel that whole food nutrition is the best way to go (instead of vitamins).  The two products that we carry and recommend highly are Juice Plus & Standard Process.

With Juice Plus, children between ages 4-18 can get the product for free if a parent is taking the product. You can only get it through a distributor so we can sign you up for this, please ask us about it (for yourself and/or your children).

Standard Process is a supplement line that we do specific nutritional analysis for, depending on individual needs.
